Square Air for LoRaWAN. with screws

The Square Air is a multi-purpose LoRaWAN multi-sensor with extensive sensoring abilities – Air Quality index, humidity, temperature, light, CO2eq, bVOC,  and more.

Its low power consumption and long battery life make it ideal for monitoring your property’s climate, status, and utilization.

For example, keep your office environment optimal or optimize energy consumption in your multi-family rental property. Ensure that spaces that are supposed to be empty are empty, such as no “overnight guests” in hallways. Adjust ventilation and heating in meeting rooms based on the number of people present. Monitor the air quality in arenas, malls, public spaces, or hospitals. Or, is the air healthy in a train station? Or on the train itself?

The possibilities are endless, especially when you combine sensor data into more comprehensive data and indexes. For example, the example “empty hallway” mentioned above is a calculated data point from a combination of, for instance,  bVOC and light.

The sensor is also location-aware, making it ideal for mobile applications like trains, boats, caravans, etc., or notifying you if the sensor has been moved or removed. This functionality also simplifies installation and system configuration in the field.

The Square is easy to mount with the included adhesive or screws. You can easily remove the screw brackets if you do not want to use screw mounting.

The Square Air is a multi-purpose LoRaWAN multi-sensor with an extensive list of sensor abilities: Air Quality Index, humidity, temperature, light, air pressure, CO2eq, bVOCeq,  and more. A state-of-the-art indoor air quality sensor offering advanced capabilities over traditional CO2 sensors. This compact and discreet unit, measuring 58 x 58 x 15 mm, is equipped with a long-lasting 6 Ah battery, ensuring up to 7 years of continuous operation or up to 15 years of continuous use during extended office hours only (e.g., Mon-Fri 06.00-20.00).

It features the groundbreaking Bosch BME688 gas sensor, an AI-powered digital nose capable of detecting a wide range of gases, including VOCs, VSCs, carbon monoxide, and hydrogen.

Square AIR calculates IAQ, bVOC, and CO2 equivalents (CO2e) while accurately measuring temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and ambient light. Equipped with NFC for easy configuration, LoRaWAN for long-range communication, and WiFi MAC address scanning for indoor positioning make Square AIR easy to use.

With its advanced digital nose sensor, the Square AIR is key in securing healthy work and living conditions within buildings. Its precise detection of various air substances enables effective ventilation strategies, reducing energy costs and minimizing environmental impact. The sensor's versatility opens new avenues for specialized applications, making it an essential tool in intelligent buildings.

Benefits & Use Cases
Square AIR is ideal for larger properties such as offices, meeting rooms, training facilities, and residential buildings, offering versatility through various configuration profiles. Its advanced sensor technology goes beyond traditional CO2 detection, measuring a wide range of air pollutants to enhance indoor air quality management. Equipped with AI tools, it can be customized to detect specific substances. The sensor’s suite, including temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and ambient light sensing, along with NFC, LoRaWAN connectivity, and the in-door geo-positioning feature using WIFI MAC address scanning, make it a comprehensive solution for smart building management.

Square AIR also has the capability to detect smoke, contributing to early fire prevention, though it is important to note that it is not a certified fire alarm.

Note that Square AIR calculates the CO2 level based on the level of other gases corresponding to breathing people, and it is not designed to detect CO2 leaks from gas cylinders or other equipment, making it unsuitable for applications related to CO2 leak detection.

The Square Air can be customized to detect specific gases or substances by training it with AI for these particular elements. Learn more here:
