STRIPS GUARD LoRaWAN
Strips
Guard is an ultra-thin (<3 mm) magnetic sensor designed for reliable
monitoring of doors, windows, gates, and access points. Its unique form factor
enables fully hidden installation inside frames or other narrow spaces—without
impacting aesthetics or functionality.
With a
battery life of 10+ years – designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation,
and long-range LoRaWAN connectivity (up to 10 km), it is ideal for scalable
security, energy optimization, and smart building deployments.
The sensor
is designed for reliable operation in varying conditions, featuring conformal
coating of the electronics, enabling use in humid environments and exposed
installations.
In addition
to open/close detection, Strips Guard also measures temperature, providing
additional environmental insight.
Typical use cases
- Door
and window monitoring
- Intrusion
detection and alarm systems
- Energy optimization (e.g. HVAC
control based on window status)
- Smart
building automation
- Monitoring of cabinets,
drawers, and restricted access points
Key advantages
- Discreet design – ultra-thin
(<3 mm), fully hidden installation
- Reliable detection – accurate
magnetic sensing of open/close status
- 10+ years battery life –
designed for long-term, maintenance-free operation
- Long-range communication –
LoRaWAN up to 10 km
- Moisture-resistant design –
conformal coating for reliable performance
- Multi-function sensor –
includes temperature measurement
- Easy
installation – no wiring required
Advanced functionality
Strips
Guard can be configured to act as a beacon when open, enabling advanced use
cases in environments where radio communication is limited—such as
installations with metal doors or window frames.
For
example, in hotel rooms with metal structures, the sensor can be set to
transmit only when a door or window is open. This enables automatic control of
air conditioning, ensuring energy is not wasted when ventilation conditions
change.
