Unlike simplified air quality solutions, it uses dedicated CO2 sensing technology to deliver accurate values required for standards, certifications, and ventilation control. High-quality CO2 sensors are calibrated and engineered to ensure stable, reliable readings over time—critical for building compliance and performance monitoring.

This means you don’t have to choose between “perceived air quality” and “regulatory accuracy.” You get both—enabling smarter ventilation, healthier environments, and full confidence in your data.

Square Air CO₂ is a compact, intelligent room sensor designed for long-term indoor environmental monitoring, smart ventilation, and building optimization.

Combining continuous CO₂ monitoring with room occupancy detection and Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) sensing, it provides a comprehensive view of both the indoor environment and how the space is being used. In addition to CO₂, IAQ and presence, Square Air CO₂ measures temperature, humidity, barometric pressure, and ambient light.

Its intelligent sensing architecture continuously monitors CO₂ and presence, while IAQ sensing can be activated when needed based on occupancy, office hours, or changing environmental conditions. This enables detailed air-quality monitoring when it matters, while minimizing unnecessary energy consumption.

By combining occupancy information with CO₂ and IAQ data, Square Air CO₂ provides valuable insight into ventilation performance, room utilization, indoor comfort, and changing air-quality conditions. This makes it well suited for demand-controlled ventilation, HVAC optimization, workplace monitoring, schools, public buildings, and other smart-building applications.

With its discreet 58 × 58 × 15 mm design, LoRaWAN connectivity, and high-capacity battery, Square Air CO₂ is designed for 10+ years of operation, enabling scalable, low-maintenance deployments across buildings and facilities

Installation

Square Air CO₂ is designed for fast and flexible installation. It can be mounted using the integrated adhesive for quick installation without tools, or with the optional Sensative Square Screw Mounting Kit for a secure and permanent installation.

Smart geolocation (without GPS)

Square Air CO2 supports cloud-based Wi-Fi geolocation, enabling positioning in indoor or GPS-denied environments by scanning nearby Wi-Fi networks.

This functionality requires a compatible cloud service such as Sensative Yggio.
