Wireless sensors and Yggio, the open operational layer for cities, property owners and transport operators. Your data, your operations, your sovereignty.
One vendor-independent data platform across schools, elderly care, healthcare and justice properties
Hemsö owns, manages and develops properties for schools, elderly care, healthcare and the justice system: 483 properties in Sweden, Finland and Germany, most of them let to the state, municipalities and regions. In 2026 Hemsö chose Yggio as the data platform for its Swedish portfolio: one place where data from sensors, energy meters and building control systems comes together, independent of supplier and technology. Rollout started before the summer of 2026 and runs across Sweden until 2028.
Live seat availability on every service, from a sensor above every seat
London North Eastern Railway is fitting SeatSense sensors above every seat and wheelchair space on its Azuma trains, more than 36,000 of them, so that passengers see in real time whether a seat is available or occupied, instead of relying on reservation data alone. The radar sensors are a first for the railway industry, run cable-free on a single battery cell, and showed more than 98 per cent accuracy in the trial that preceded the fleet-wide roll-out, announced by LNER in February 2026.
One regional IoT infrastructure instead of one procurement per municipality
Västra Götalandsregionen runs IoT-samverkan Västra Götaland, a regional collaboration that gives municipalities, municipal companies and municipal associations a common, sector-neutral IoT infrastructure rather than each building its own. The region signed the platform agreement with Sensative in 2024 and describes the company as "leverantören av vår gemensamma IoT-plattform" (the supplier of our common IoT platform).
Yggio is the City of Stockholm’s central IoT platform
The City of Stockholm operates a central IoT platform that collects data from connected devices across the city and offers it to its administrations and city-owned companies as a shared service. Yggio is that platform, licensed by the city since 2022.
Yggio and a city-wide LoRaWAN network for the City of Malmö
Under the Digital Malmö programme, the City of Malmö procured a common IoT platform for the whole city and a first application: real-time water levels in the canals and in Öresund, for the operations behind the city’s cloudburst plan. Sensative delivered Yggio and a city-wide LoRaWAN network. Malmö is still a customer, and today also runs its RSMP traffic signals through Yggio.
AI agents read road-works plans and traffic sensors, and Yggio routes rescue vehicles around every closure
Developed with the rescue services on Gotland and funded by Vinnova: one AI agent reads the road-works plans that arrive by email, another spots unannounced blockages in traffic-sensor data, and Yggio calculates every route with the closures already applied. The function is now part of standard Yggio.
