Lund, 8 October 2026. Sensative has signed an agreement with Hemsö, Sweden’s leading owner of social infrastructure properties, to roll out the Yggio data platform across Hemsö’s Swedish property portfolio. Hemsö’s digitalisation programme aims at measurable business value of at least SEK 50 per square metre and year by 2030, and that requires collecting and using data independently of supplier and technical solution. Yggio gathers data from sensors, energy meters and building control systems on one vendor-independent platform, giving property managers, energy staff and technicians the same real-time picture: deviations are spotted early, operations optimised, and the effect of each measure followed up. The agreement is signed directly between Hemsö and Sensative, so the platform can be adapted over time to Hemsö’s workflows, systems and reporting requirements. Rollout began before the summer of 2026 and scales up through the autumn; installations run across Sweden until 2028. Hemsö owns, manages and develops schools, elderly care homes, healthcare properties and premises for the justice system: 483 properties with a value of about SEK 90 billion in Sweden, Finland and Germany. Read full release

Sensative has received loan financing from Nefco, the Nordic Green Bank founded in 1990 by the five Nordic countries to finance the initial scale-up of Nordic green solutions on global markets. The financing supports the continued scale-up of Sensative’s operations in Asia, Europe and North America, with a particular focus on North America, where the company already had high-profile customers, especially in Canada. At the time more than 50 municipal customers used Yggio for smart city, building, energy and water applications, and more than 200,000 of Sensative’s patented ultra-thin sensors had been delivered. Mats Pettersson, then CEO, pointed to the effect of seemingly small changes in operations: a real estate customer estimated energy savings of 4 % for every 1 °C reduction in heating, several million euros a year across its portfolio. Mikael Reims, Vice President Origination at Nefco, called enabling technologies like Sensative’s an essential part of the green transition. In 2021 Sensative had received a grant from Nopef, a Nefco-managed fund, for its North American expansion. A Swedish version was issued the same day.

Read full release

Sensative and Actility, with input from WMW, released an integrated LoRaWAN solution for desk occupancy and office-space optimisation as workers returned after Covid-19. Sensative supplies the Strips Presence sensors and the Yggio platform: active infrared detects whether a desk is occupied, the sensor reports over LoRaWAN with a range of up to 10 km, runs up to ten years on its battery and is thin enough to be installed almost invisibly with its adhesive backing. The +Switch slider lets cleaning staff record that a desk has been disinfected, and a desk shows “pending cleaning” after a person leaves rather than simply “empty”. Actility provides the ThingPark connectivity platform and hosts an evaluation starter kit on ThingPark Market; WMW provides the dashboard with office-space data, presence KPIs and alarms. At the time Sensative had deployed more than 150,000 Strips worldwide.

Read full release

Sensative, Lindbäcks Bygg and PiteEnergi started a project that monitors modular buildings all the way from production and transport to assembly on site. Lindbäcks builds multi-dwelling houses industrially, with modules produced in its factory in Piteå; sensors built into the frames track moisture so problems can be found and handled earlier, and the data is collected and shared in real time through Sensative’s cloud service. PiteEnergi operates the LoRaWAN sensor network. Lars Oscarsson, product developer at Lindbäcks, said the technology gives full control over a module wherever it is, in the Piteå factory or on a truck somewhere in Sweden. Mats Pettersson, then CEO of Sensative, noted that the project develops a new application for the company’s water leak sensor, of which Sensative had by then delivered 150,000 sensors worldwide. Issued in Swedish.
