Overview
Square Tracker L scans nearby Wi-Fi access points and lets a cloud service resolve the position, which costs a fraction of the power of on-device positioning. It also reports air pressure: with fixed reference barometers in the building, a service such as Yggio can compare the readings and work out which floor the asset is on. A 3D accelerometer wakes the tracker when something moves or tilts, and a temperature sensor comes along.
It is 15 mm thick with a 6,000 mAh battery: ten years of battery life at 100 positions a day. Where slim matters more, there is Square Tracker, 7 mm with 750 mAh. It is built for hospitals, offices and facilities that need to find beds, instruments and equipment fast, without installing positioning infrastructure. Downloadable VSM apps let it take on new tasks in the field. Mount with the integrated adhesive or the optional screw kit.
