Overview
Square Presence combines two things ordinary occupancy sensors get wrong. It reacts within moments when someone enters the room, and it keeps reporting occupied while a person sits still (reading, typing, in a meeting) where a motion sensor would time out and switch the lights off. The infrared sensor reaches up to 4 m across a ±40° field of view, enough for a desk cluster or a meeting room, and the same unit measures temperature to ±0.2 °C, humidity and ambient light.
A 58 × 58 × 15 mm body with a 4,000 mAh battery for over ten years, NFC set-up from an Android phone, Wi-Fi geopositioning and built-in data memory. Mount with the integrated adhesive or the optional screw kit.
