Background
Public housing companies own large numbers of similar apartments, which should make them the ideal customer for digital services, yet in 2014 almost every such service required its own cabling, its own gateway and its own supplier agreement, so the cost per apartment stayed high and little got built.
The project developed an open platform to break that pattern: shared network infrastructure and a common service platform that many service providers could deliver through, plus a business model for who pays for what.
