Background
Farming decisions about when to irrigate, fertilise, sow or harvest have direct climate consequences, through both emissions and the soil’s capacity to store carbon. Better decisions need data from the field itself, at a cost and effort a farm can actually carry.
The project developed climate-positive decision support for precision agriculture, including an open-source mathematical modelling platform, Lodyn, and improvements to an existing web-based advisory system.
