Background
Digitalising a farm means covering distances and extremes that a building never presents: fields kilometres from the nearest power outlet, sensors expected to run for years on a battery, and at the same time cameras producing far more data than a low-power radio can carry.
The project developed an adapted infrastructure able to handle both ends of that range, and, just as important, the service packages around installation and operation that make it possible for a farmer to use the technology without becoming an IT operator.
